The College maintains, and regular reviews, a competency / capability framework – the Master Health Service Management Competency Framework - that is the foundation for a vast variety of College programs.
As a member of the International Hospital Federation, the College participated actively as part of a Global Consortium under the sponsorship of the International Hospital Federation (IHF) and initially adopted and contextualised the resulting Global Competency Directory to the Asia Pacific context in 2016. In 2022 this ACHSM framework was again reviewed and changes adopted in 2022. This 2022 iteration of the ACHSM Framework closely aligns with the IHF’s more recent update of their framework.
